Welcome, I'm Jamie a bit of a Jack of All Trades, Master of None
I’m a hands-on individual, finding satisfaction in transforming raw materials, maintaining the land, and building connections both online and off.
My world is a unique blend of working with natural materials, creating tangible goods, and building the online spaces to share it all.

The Land, The Lumber, The Web, The Whiskers
About Me
Crafting experiences from timber to tech, and trails to tails.
The Full-Spectrum Creator
Beyond providing expert portable sawmilling services at Peachtree Mill, I’m also the website developer behind all my online ventures.
This includes Bye-Jay.com, my personal gallery and shop for hobby woodworking, where I pour my passion into creating custom pieces and unique items.
And, for a delightful counterpoint to my more industrious pursuits, The Fluffinator is a website I built to celebrate the playful antics and gentle nature of my two Ragdoll cats.
My property is my workshop and my sanctuary. I spend considerable time landscaping, maintaining my driveway, and building trails across my 4-acre wooded acreage, often with the help of my tractor.

What Services I'm Providing
From timber milling to web development, and property care to custom woodworking.

Portable Sawmilling
I also believe in sustainable practices, using my chainsaw to clear deadfall trees after storms, which are then expertly milled into high-quality lumber by Peachtree Mill, my portable sawmilling service.

Woodworking
Beyond the outdoors, my hands are equally at home crafting unique pieces through hobby woodworking at Bye-Jay.com, where I also sell my creations.
Work Experience
A full military career and a little bit of everything else.
I was responsible for the technology at a military helicopter training facility, supporting the advanced simulators and computer systems used to train pilots and their crews. My day-to-day job was to install, maintain, and fix all the equipment, from servers to networks, while providing direct technical help to the instructors and trainees.
As a supervisor in the radio shop at the Halifax military base, I led a major five-year project to completely modernize the radio communication network used by personnel and in vehicles. This role also involved managing a team of technicians, performing hands-on installations, and designing a training simulator for our new system.
As the lead technician, I built and maintained a critical satellite ground station that provided high-speed internet and data for the Canadian and NATO military forces. I was also responsible for the general maintenance of the radio receiver site and provided 24/7 on-call technical support for the Navy’s command centre in Halifax.
As an IT technician, I was responsible for all computer hardware, software, and network support for 4,000 users at the Kingston military base and the Royal Military College. My job involved troubleshooting technical problems both in-person and over the phone, where I would remotely connect to their computers to fix issues directly.
I installed and repaired internet services for homes and businesses, including upgrading computer hardware and software. I also provided 24/7 phone support to help customers with their technical issues.
I designed and developed static and dynamic websites for small and medium sized businesses. Sites ranged from static landing pages to robust database driven dynamic sites.
